Clay Studio (Ages 9–12: MORNING; Two weeks)

Fuel your imagination and curiosity in the clay studio at Virginia MOCA! Together, we’ll learn how to create simple ceramic forms, uncover the wonder of the ceramic process, and have fun while making clay animals, pots, and more! In this two-week-long camp, we’ll learn all about clay, including hand-building, attaching, an introduction to the potter’s wheel, and even the ceramic firing process. All finished works will be glazed, kiln fired, and treasured for years to come.
