Description

Saturday in the Studio (Ages 9-12)
Instructor: Donna Iona Drozda
Young artists are free to find their own unique creative path while exploring pattern, design, and form. Each artist is given the opportunity to learn more about where their creative interests lie by having access to a variety of materials and methods such as pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor and oil pastel resist painting, papier mâché and plaster. Students will also explore the MOCA galleries and look to exhibiting artists for inspiration. At the end of the course each young artist will leave with a final project of their own design which could be anything from a collection of drawings to a sculpture using recycled materials.
