Do you feel your experience and understanding in drawing is limiting what you can paint?
Has your painting instructor ever advised you to improve your drawing skills? Strong drawing skills are the foundation for many great painters and will empower you to make better choices in the painting process. Experiment with size and proportion, shape and form, line and shading, positive and negative space, and left and right brain approach to perspective. Mastering these foundational skills will change your perception and help you to better understand the subject matter for your painting. Learn through hand-outs, demonstration, and exercises. Mastering these foundational skills will help you to become a better painter in any subject matter—portraits, landscape, still life, abstract.
