Description

Join exhibiting artist Tracey St. Peter for a Master Class inspired by her artistic viewpoint. St. Peter transforms simple sustainable materials such as cardboard, paper mache, and wax into unrecognizable sculpture that resembles beautiful carved stone. The workshop will begin with a gallery tour led by St. Peter of her work featured in Small Works, Tall Tales and a discussion of her artistic process and philosophy. The artist will then demonstrate on works in progress highlighting her unique techniques and multistep process. Students will create a small work of their own using St. Peter’s paper mache techniques and incorporating crystals and small found objects. Students are asked to bring a small object from home that they would like to use in their sculpture.

Members $50, Nonmembers $65
