Simplifying the Watercolor Landscape

Have you ever wanted to turn that landscape travel photo into a painting using watercolors? In this course, students will learn to simplify the landscape’s five basic elements through value and shape exercises. Color mixing and application, color theory, brushwork and composition will be discussed through hand-outs, demonstration, and critiques. Students will work from their own source photos for each session to create a final artwork. Advanced students will work at their own level to improve their own individual style and abilities. Basic drawing experience is required.
