Mixed Media Combo

Learn how to combine pen and ink with watercolor (and colored pencil if you choose) in a final composition using your preferred subject matter of portrait, still life, or landscape. Through demonstration, handouts, and critiques pen and ink skills will be learned for embellishment or detail on a watercolor painting, as well as color theory and mixing, application, brushwork and composition. These skills will be great to use in one’s sketchbook on your next vacation or for any other artistic endeavor. Students will work from their own resource photos and materials for each session. Drawing experience is required, especially in the subject matter you choose to use. Familiarity in watercolor is preferred, but not required.
