Simplifying the Watercolor Landscape
Instructor: Janet Lynn Eggen
Experience the magic of watercolor and turn a landscape photograph or sketch into a painting by learning to simplify its composition. Use of materials, color mixing, blending and application, color theory and brushwork will be discussed through handouts and demonstration. The addition of combining varied texture techniques with wet into wet washes will serve as inspiration for a student to explore their imagination. Advanced students will progress towards their own level of improving technique, design, and self-expression. Bring your own resources of photos or sketches to each class. Basic drawing experience is required.
