Fluid Acrylic Paint Pouring: The Basics

Join Shaylen Amanda Broughton, current Satellite Gallery: Waterways exhibiting artist and explore this abstract painting process in which acrylic paints are mixed with thinning mediums and poured onto canvas. Learn how to properly mix the paints for the best pouring results. Two basic techniques will be demonstrated “Flip Cup” and “Swipe”. Create three small scale paintings using either or both processes. Finished paintings will take about a day to dry and will need to be left overnight and picked up at a scheduled time. Please be sure to wear studio clothes and/or bring your own apron or smock.
