Hand-tinted Origami Flowers

Learn how to hand-tint diffusion paper with water-based paints using a variety of tools and techniques. Students will use their colored paper squares to make easy-to-fold origami flowers, combining two, three or more papers of varying sizes to make full, lifelike blossoms. Complete your paper bouquet by adding leaves, stamens, and stems. Students will also make bud vases from cardboard tubes, decorative papers and foam core and/or fold origami vases from sturdy colorful papers. Students should dress for a fun-filled mess and are welcome to bring a bag lunch.
