Photography: Mastering Manual Exposure, Ages 13 – 17

Take full control of your camera by learning the ins and outs of shooting in manual mode. Learn how to control exposure, read your meter, and adjust ISO, shutter speed and aperture to create photographs exactly how you envision them.  We will spend time learning the purpose of all those buttons on your camera and how to make them work for you.  Weekly shooting assignments will reinforce the technical content covered in class as each week builds a foundation for the next week’s concepts.  We will also get creative with your new skills as we explore some of the endless possibilities that await when you are in control.  Turn off that auto mode forever! All students must have a camera that has manual mode and will allow you to adjust ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
